Remember When.....

• Remember when you didn't need a special occasion to wear a shirt and tie?
• Remember when vacation bible school was during the day for 2 weeks straight instead of evenings only for one week?  "1,2,3, the devil's after me, 4,5,6 he's always throwing bricks, 7,8,9 he missed me every time, hallelujah! hallelujah! hallelujah! I'm saved!!!"  Sorry that's the only song I remember : (
• Remember when it was cool for the fellas to dance with the ladies in the club?  And get sweaty?
• Remember when VH1 was THE ONLY music video channel?
• Remember when there were more good movies in the theater than bad?
• Remember when VHS movies cost like $85?  And no, I didn't own any.
• Remember when the 1st season of The Real World started?  Little did we know it was the birth of a new genre of TV shows that would turn nobodies into somebodies and somebodies into nobodies.....(as I type with Storage Wars on in the background..)  Who knew a show about junk collectors bidding on abandoned storage units could be so exciting!!! : \
• Remember when cell phones didn't exist and only doctors and dope dealers had pagers?
• Remember when everybody knew the neighborhood drunk?  Ours was Shoestring.  Oh, I forgot about Benny Baby....but I think Benny Baby was on a little more than alcohol......
• Remember when every neighborhood had a candy lady?  I got 2 words for you, "cool cups".
